Accreditation: The International Polytechnic University  (Universidad Politécnica Internacional), UPI, is a fully accredited university by the government of Costa Rica and is internationally recognized. It is a member of the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

Hispanoamericana University

The Hispanoamericana University is among the most renowned private universities in Costa Rica. It draws students from throughout Costa Rica. The university has 5 campuses: Aranjuez, Heredia, Puntarenas, Tibás and Escalante. 

Accreditation: The Hispanoamericana University (Universidad Hispanoamericana), UH, is a fully accredited university by the government of Costa Rica and is internationally recognized.

Terms: Arcos is partnered with the UH for credit-bearing internships and for custom programming.

History: The university was founded in 1982 under the name of Colegio Sapienta. In 1992 it was formally recognized as the Universidad Hispanoamericana. It currently has more than 60 study programs: Baccalaureate, Bachelor's, Master's, Technical, Free Courses. The university specializes in business administration, engineering, psychology and medical studies.

Facilities: The programs, techniques, and facilities are modern with campuses located in Llorente de Tibás, Heredia, Puntarenas, Barrio Aranjuez and Barrio Escalante.

Latin University of Costa Rica

The Latin University of Costa Rica is among the most renowned private universities in Costa Rica. Accreditation: The Latin University of Costa Rica (Universidad Latina de Costa Rica), ULatina or ULCR, is a fully accredited university by the government of Costa Rica and is internationally recognized.

Terms: 

History & Size: Latin University of Costa Rica campus is part of the ULatina system. The Heredia campus alone enrolls about 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students in more than 35 different degree programs. The university offers undergraduate programs in Business Administration, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Psychology, Information Systems, Engineering, Pre-school Education, Special Education, Interior Design, Civil, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, and Architecture.

Class Information: Class size depends on the classes you choose. Spanish language classes and electives, such as Latin American Civilization and Culture and Latin American Literature, are usually with 3 to 10 fellow study abroad students. Language and elective classes are typically held in the morning or afternoon Monday through Friday. Advanced-level Spanish students are encouraged to take Classes with Locals. Classes with Locals range in size from 15 to 30 students. They are offered in the morning, afternoon, or evening, Monday through Friday.
