Healthcare & Medical Spanish
University of Oaxaca: Summer I & III
This program is designed for students to take Medical Spanish (Advanced level) (45 hours) and Healthcare: Public Health in Mexico (45 hours) during a 4 week summer session (Summer I or Summer III). The Healthcare: Public Health in Mexico course combines in-class work with a medical shadowing experience at the Red Cross. The program is intended for students in a health sciences degree plan such as Nursing, Medicine or Pre-Med. Students must be at the Advanced Spanish level when enrolling in the Healthcare & Medical Spanish program (have passed Advanced I Spanish or the equivalent). For those students who do not have an Advanced level prior to taking these courses we suggest adding on a Summer I or II session to get your level up and then do the Summer III Healthcare & Medical Spanish session.
