Healthcare & Medical Spanish
University of Oaxaca: Summer I & III
Healthcare: Public Health in Mexico (45 contact hours)
For the first 4 weeks of each 7 week session students take Medical Spanish (Advanced level) and one other course (Spanish Language or Elective) of their choosing. The next 3 weeks all students take the course “Healthcare: Public Health in Mexico” which combines in-class work with a medical shadowing experience at the Red Cross. The program is intended for students in a health sciences degree plan such as Nursing, Medicine or Pre-Med. Students must be at the Advanced Spanish level when enrolling in the Healthcare program. For those students who do not have an Advanced level prior to the summer we suggest adding on a Summer I or II session to get your level up and then segue into the Summer III Healthcare session.
